Venison is a food which helps you burning your fat naturally. You need to know how to prepare it in the right manner to get the benefit of this food. It is the best natural food for burning fats. In this article I am going to mention some of the advantages of this natural food.

This natural food comprises of meat of deer, moose, antelope or caribou which are difficult to find. If you are a hunter or anyone else in the family then you can get the meat and enjoy eating this nutritious food which will also help you to burn fats.

Deer meat is tender, supple and with full flavours. You can hunt a deer or on a farm they can be raised. The diet of the animal decides the meat flavour. Deer meat has got amazing flavour. Venison is beneficial as contains low saturated fat and low calories. It is the best source of some of the vitamins like B6, B12, B2 and niacin. This meat is also rich in minerals like phosphorus, iron, copper, zinc, selenium etc. Iron is essential for maintaining proper haemoglobin in our body. Haemoglobin is also responsible for regulating metabolism in the body.

This natural food contains vitamin B12 and B6 which helps in keeping the level of homocysteine balanced. Consumption of vitamin B12 can also prevent problems like osteoporosis. Consumption of vitamin B2 helps in providing energy based on oxygen to our body. It is also beneficial for our muscles and the heart. Niacin present in venison helps producing starch in muscles and liver which in turn can generate energy.

Venison needs to be stored in refrigerator properly by wrapping it if you are planning to use it after couple of days. You need to freeze using foil and it can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months. If you are going to marinate it make sure that you refrigerate it as it might get spoiled being sensitive to heat. You can find venison recipes through cookbooks or online from hunting websites. Sausages can also be made from this meat. Cooking this natural food is easier as animals (wild) are not at all difficult to cook. This meat can be cooked and different recipes can be made such as soups, sandwiches etc. This meat needs to be cooked properly to get the proper taste. This meat is natural and has many benefits so if you can hunt you can surely prepare the recipes on your own.

Lamb is popular meat product when it comes to gourmet cooking. Lamb is mainly and predominately used in cooking in the Middle East, India and some parts of Europe but now the trend has spread throughout the world. This is because of globalization and the opening of borders. So people that lived the parts mentioned above took their native recipes with them and the taste for lamb spread. Lamb is now ‘cultivated’ in many parts of the world and is as popular as beef, poultry and sea food and is used in many recipes and is especially popular when it comes to barbeques.

One popular cut of lamb is the shank. If you buy your meat from a local butcher then you will probably know that the shank is the portion of the meat that is below the knee. The lamb shank has only one bone, a good portion of meat and very little fat (a thin covering). This cut does not have as much meat as the shoulder but is great if you are planning on serving individual portions and makes a good deviance from the normal.

If you have not bought lamb shanks before then I would suggest that you buy it from a local butcher rather than picking it up from a super market though it would be so much easier. Buying it from a butcher will give you the practice you will need to choose a good piece of lamb shank. Take a friend or colleague that knows the butcher along with you so that you do not get cheated. Once you have learnt how to choose and buy lamb shanks you can buy from anywhere you like.

Lamb shanks need to be braised or cooked in a liquid so keep this in mind if you are substituting the meat in a recipe with lamb shanks. Lamb shanks need to be prepared before they are cooked. This is because sometimes the lamb has an unusual aftertaste. This comes from the natural oils that protect the wool on the sheep. In order to get rid of this after taste you need to marinate the lamb shank in brine overnight. If you do not have that much time to marinate the lamb shank then you can use lemon or lime juice to do the job. Apply the lemon or lime juice to the lamb shank and leave it to marinate for 30 minutes. After the marinating (in both cases) wash the shank thoroughly in running water and you are ready to cook.

Answer by sistahkittycat
Yoga and pilates are somewhat the same in that they both can help add muscle tone and improve flexibility, but the difference is that yoga involves more meditation to relax the body and mind.

I’m an Irish citizen by descent, therefore entitled to live and work throughout the European Union and (presumptively) I am covered by its Universal Health Care system.

I will be basing myself in the United Kingdom. What do I need to do to insure that I will be covered when I travel throughout Europe?

Best answer:

Answer by Jean-Michel
If you are ordinarily resident in Ireland. This means you have been living there for a minimum of one year or that you intend to live there for a minimum of one year and providing you hold a full Irish passport you can apply for an EHIC here: https://www.sspcrs.ie/ehic/e111page.jsp?lang=null

If you hold, as I suspect, rightly or wrongly, an Australian passport then you cannot apply for an EHIC as you are not a resident of an EU country.Would suggest you talk to “Medicare” in Australia to find out what arrangements there are between EU countries and Australia.

Thanks for any help…
Well it’s quite obvious.
If this were for me i would put it in the health section.
If for my horse in the horse section.
So yes, it is for my horse.

Best answer:

Answer by Twink247
Are these exercises for you or your horse?

Glad of the clarification, I had to ask as alot of people on this site dont know the front end from the back end.,
Anyhow back to your question, Tension Patterns are areas of tightness that exist in a horse’s body. They may be obvious and inhibit the natural movement of the animal to a greater or lesser degree or may be subtle and less easily detected. Either way they will have an effect on the way the horse functions on an emotional, mental and physical level. They can influence not only how the horse thinks, feels and learns but can hamper its ability to be trained, accept contact, cope with the farrier, travelling etc and adapt to new situations.

In my experience, there is always a reason for ‘unwanted’ behaviour and in cases where the horse reached a plateau in its training or rehabilitation, veterinary examination proved that there were often quite serious underlying physical causes. Tension Patterns can arise from poor training, inappropriate dental and hoof care, poor tack or rug fit, injury or disease, stress, or inappropriate management. Whilst conformation plays an important part, some horses are born with Tension Patterns that they inherit from their parents, which then influence how the horse is handled and trained in its early years. Tension and stress are necessary for all structures to maintain the ability to be supportive but the tension and stress must be as evenly distributed as possible to prevent uneven loading on one or more parts. When the tension in a horse is uneven, it has a knock on effect through the body and as posture and behaviour are so inextricably linked, unwanted behaviour patterns can arise.Exercises to help with tension is fairly straight forward, work the horse in a long and low outline for at least 4-6 weeks, in all gaits, walk, trot and canter, allow him to swing through his back and relax all his muscles and joints… The more lengthening of his body you can do the better, it takes time but you will have huge success with it in the long run. Suppleness training produces a greater range of motion. Suppling exercises fall into one of three categories, dynamic, passive, or natural. Dynamic suppling exercise include bending, lateral work, transitions forward and back and stretching or chewing the reins out of the hand. These cover both longitudinal suppleness and lateral suppleness. Passive suppling exercises can be done both prior to riding and after riding when the horse is already warm. Passive suppling of the shoulders, hips, back, neck and poll can all play an important role in symmetrical development, that is reducing the handedness of a horse. Some of the most effective exercises include: Hind leg forward and across the body under the widest part of the stomach, folding the foreleg and rotating the point of the shoulder up and forward, stretching the neck forward and down between the horses knees and to the side towards the girth area and belly lifts. These exercises should have a 20 to 30 second duration. Natural suppling exercises are the easiest for the horse and the rider to execute. Adequate turnout that allows the horse to perform these natural-suppling exercises is often the limiting factor. Rolling, grazing, scratching, and biting at flies are all part of the horses natural suppling routine. As horse owners we need to try to be aware that we may be taking to good of care of our horses. It has been shown that stalled horses lose bone density and thus are more susceptible to injury. Horses are made to be horses.
